Evolution of ACE™ Brand Products
1918
Oscar O. R. Schwidetzky is credited with the first development of the American-made ACE™ Bandage in 1918. “ACE” stands for “All Cotton Elastic” and has been a trusted brand in elastic bandages for nearly 100 years.
1940
The unique tin can packaging was introduced.
1976 - 1980
In 1976, the line of elastic bandages expanded to include hosiery and braces. The ACE™ Product line kept pace with the latest technology, and the needs of a growing market. In 1980, ACE™ Brand woven bandages were introduced.
2005
The launch of ACE™ Brand Antimicrobial Braces.
2007
Updated look for ACE™ Brand.
2009
New and improved Neoprene Braces were created. 3M acquires ACE™ Brand.
2012
Updated design that celebrates the brand's heritage but adds a contemporary look and feel.
